Project Record Books

Project Record Books can be completed by all 4-H members. They are used to teach youth how to keep records, which is an important life skill. Record keeping is an ongoing process that does not end when the 4-H year ends. Project Record Books, covering the previous year, are submitted to the county level each January and then to the district level in March.

Project Record Book age divisions are determined by the 4-H'ers age as of January 1st of the year they are reporting for. Youth, ages 8-18, can submit Project Record Books for local judging and can advance to the district level. Cloverbuds, youth ages 5-7, can submit Project Record Books at the county level only.
