Jessica Keller To All Instructors

Jessica has been teaching in one way or another for most of her life! She spent many years serving younger kids at her church through Awana programs, as well as teaching older youth in small groups on Sunday mornings. After spending a season overseas on the mission field participating in and leading creative arts ministries in London, she came back to work at a cafe that supports Black Mountain Home for Children. There she works as a member of the Culinary Arts Program with youth who are seniors in high school or newly graduated to help them develop new skills that will serve them long after they leave the Home's care.

Jessica loves to teach in a hands on approach, and asks lots of questions to get their brains engaged. She motivates students to assess the things in front of them and find creative ways to solve problems. It's her goal to make sure each student comes into the classroom knowing that it is a safe place, but one where they will be challenged and encouraged to be the best they can at whatever they put their mind to!
